Your chance to #representyourregion in the Welsh Athletics “Battle of the regions 2k virtual race”
Race overview
The #BattleoftheRegions is a 2k virtual race where athletes will compete to be the best in their age groups and to win points for their region. The race is open to all athletes on the Welsh Athletics Regional and National Development Programmes in endurance. You will be contacted by your Regional coordinator (endurance) if you are eligible to take part and provided with an entry link.
The age groups for the competition are as follows (as per XC age groups):
- U15 Girls (Year 9 and 10)
- U15 Boys (Year 9 and 10)
- U17/U20 Women (Years 11-13)
- U17/U20 Women (Years 11-13)
The top 10 in each age group/gender will score for their region. The region with the highest number of points in each age group will be crowned winners of the #BattleoftheRegions
The competition will take place over February Half Term (15th-19th of February).
Winners (Individual and Team) will be announced the week beginning the 22nd of February.
Prizes
There will be prizes for the winners of each age group (U15 and U17/U20) in each gender and spot prizes throughout the week!
