ABP Newport Wales 10k & Marathon – Sunday 29th April
The first ever ABP Newport Wales 10k and Marathon events will take place in Newport on Sunday morning, as Wales hosts its first premier marathon distance mass participation event. The much-anticipated race, made possible by the support of Associated British Ports, Newport City Council and the Welsh Government, will be one of the UK’s flattest and fastest marathon courses – taking in a host of iconic landmarks, picturesque medieval villages and Newport’s recently regenerated city-centre.
In addition, The ABP Newport Wales 10K will offer runners of all ages and abilities the opportunity to get involved in one of Wales’ biggest weekends of running – without having to commit to the challenging 26.2-mile distance.

British Masters Road Relays – Birmingham – Saturday 28th April
The British Masters Road Relays take place at Sutton Park, Birmingham on Saturday afternoon, with welsh clubs Les Croupiers and Neath Harriers both sending teams to the event, with hopes of a podium finish in their respective age categorised groups.
Cardiff Summer Series 1 Mile – Friday 27th April
Friday evening marks the first Summer Series race on the events calendar with the Cardiff Summer Series 1 Mile Race taking place in Pontcanna Fields. Race registration on the evening of the event opens from 5:45 p.m with the race itself starting at 7:30 p.m. More information can be found here:
UK Youth Development League – Swansea – Sunday 29th April
Many of Wales’ most promising u17 and u20 athletes will compete at the UK Youth Development South/West League fixture at Swansea University’s Athletics Track on Sunday afternoon.
