We were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Welsh shot put and discus all-time great Paul Rees who died recently aged 78.
Aberdare-born Paul won 16 Welsh titles between 1973 and 1982 and held the Welsh shot record for 10 years with 16.57m, until it was beaten by the late Shaun Pickering in 1985.
Our thoughts are with Paul's family and friends at this very sad time.
