A successful 2018 has put us on track to continue the modernisation of our sport in Wales in 2019 and to build on the performance successes our athletes have delivered. To do this we are bringing in new roles to our performance team and Board.
"All the measures we have for our sport show continued growth, from participation and club membership to Welsh athletes earning GB vests. There is much cause for optimism. The extensive consultation conducted earlier this year told us there are still challenges to be overcome and we will be launching a new strategy for the sport in 2019, informed by this feedback. There will also be new additions to our Board of Directors, including the recruitment of a new Chair, as well as a realignment of our resources to deliver the priorities identified in the new strategy." said Matt Newman, Chief Executive
Alongside the new staff roles, we are seeking a New Chair and non-executive director additions to our skill-based Board in the areas of Finance and Performance to support and challenge us as we take forward our emerging new strategy following last year's consultation with our members.
Under the guidance of recently appointed Head Coach, Chris Jones, a Coach Development Manager & National Talent Development Co-ordinator [Endurance] will work with coaches and athletes across the country to continue and expand the delivery of our Regional and National Development programmes.
