Welsh Athletics and Welsh Schools Combined Events Age Group Champions were crowned on an action packed day at the National Indoor Athletics Centre in Cardiff. A full report and results can be found here
Great South Run - Portsmouth - Sunday 21st October
Cardiff's Clara Evans followed up her fine performance at the Commonwealth Half Marathon Championship as she ran to a fourth placed finish at the Great South Run in Portsmouth on Sunday morning. Clara clocked a new lifetime best over 10 miles of 57:44, finishing behind Eilish McColgan, Steph Twell and Gemma Steel.
Pontypridd Roadent Paul Graham also clocked a new lifetime best in the men's race, as he clocked 51:42 to finish in 17th place.
Stroud Half Marathon - Sunday 21st October
Andrew Davies (Stockport Harriers) was back in action over the half marathon distance as he ran to victory at the Stroud Half Marathon on Sunday morning. Davies clocked 68:05 as he continues his preparations ahead of the New York Marathon in just under a fortnight's time on 4th November.
Flintshire 10k - Mold - Sunday 21st October
Mike Roberts and Jen Adams (Buckley RC) were victorious at the Flintshire 10k in Mold on Sunday morning. Roberts ran to victory in the men's race with a winning time of 34:29, ahead of second placed Joseph Murray (34:44) and third placed Dave Mountford (Team Aura; 34:55). Adams was victorious in the women's race with a clocking of 41:33, ahead of Jane Jennions (Deestriders; 42:13) and Rachel Shipley (Abergele; 43:03).
