We have received unprecedented interest after the success of last year’s Cardiff Half and IAAF 2016 World Half Marathon Championships. So we are urging club athletes to act now to avoid missing out on what promises to be another unforgettable day at Wales’ largest mass-participation event.
Welsh Athletics members will only pay £29 for their entry with their WA number - a 25 percent discount from regular entrants. The race will also play host to the Welsh Half Marathon Championships which has seen some impressive performances in the past. For elite entries please contact the Elite Race Co-ordinator, Alex Donald firstname.lastname@example.org
The previous benchmark of 22,000 runners is set to be smashed across the festival weekend of running, so act fast and sign up at www.cardiffhalfmarathon.co.uk if you want a place on the start line.
Race-day attracts runners from around the world, but Saturday’s Cardiff University Festival of Running will once again kick off the running fever. The Family Fun Run and Toddler Dash gave children the perfect opportunity to get a taste of a major running event, while some of the UK’s best club runners competed over a one mile course.
With smiling faces, fancy dress, and (fingers crossed) a bright blue sky, the Cardiff University Festival of Running will once again prove to be a thrilling start to the Cardiff University/Cardiff Half Marathon weekend.
