For the last 27 years Lliswerry Runners have organised the Lliswerry 8 mile road race around the lanes through Goldcliff and Nash villages. Since it was first held in 1985 entries have grown and now attracts more than 450 runners of all abilities.
''A combination of the right distance, dead flat course, appropriate date and consistantly good organisation have meant that we always get a good entry. It seems to appeal to runners of all ages and abilities'' says Nick Pringle, Lliswerry Runners Race Organiser.
